Los primeros pasjeros en el CS100:

Welcome Aboard! First passengers fly on the C Series aircraft

The C Series aircraft program celebrated another “first” last week as it welcomed its first set of passengers to fly on board FTV5, the CS100 aircraft in Swiss colors fitted with a full interior.
Up to now, the flight test vehicle had only flown with its flight test crew. However as part of a certification test that requires actual passengers test the cabin interior while in flight, Bombardier welcomed two sets of 50 passengers this week to take part in the testing.
“As someone who is marketing the C Series aircraft and engaging with customers, it was a real treat and pleasure to be asked to participate in this 4-hour flight test,” said Fred Cromer, President, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. “As expected, the CS100 aircraft performed beautifully and the interior was bright, spacious and the expansive overhead bins were impressive in flight as the flight test crew asked us to participate in a series of activities while the aircraft is in flight.”
A full crew including flight attendants participated in the test that is meant to simulate an ‘in-service’ flight. The tests included showing that CO/CO2 levels in the cabin and the cockpit remain at an acceptable level during all operations as well as demonstrating that a take-off with the air conditioning packs in the OFF position can be done safely and within regulation.

Versión mejorada del P&W1500G disponible para el CS300 (en inglés):

http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/pampw-discloses-new-engine-option-for-cseries-415481/

...The new PW1525G will become the fourth engine option for the CS100 and the third option available for the CS300.

P&W is developing the new version of the engine to offer up to 5% higher thrust when the aircraft is moving faster than roughly Mach 0.1 and at the maximum continuous thrust rating in flight.

In static conditions, when the aircraft is not moving, the PW1525G will generate the same thrust as the PW1524G, which is rated to deliver up to 23,300lb thrust...

Exclusive: Bombardier offered majority stake in CSeries jet to Airbus - sources

Bombardier has approached European planemaker Airbus about selling a majority stake in the Canadian company's CSeries jet in order to shore up its depleted balance sheet, people familiar with the matter said.
Under a proposed tie-up, Airbus would help Bombardier complete development of the troubled aircraft in exchange for a controlling stake in the program, effectively ending Bombardier’s independent efforts to break into the 100- to 160-seat airplane market dominated by Airbus and Boeing .

El programa de certificación del CS100 está a 90% completo.

“It’s a thrill to announce that we’re in the final stage of certification. Following a comprehensive flight test program, we’re now on the cusp of validating that the CS100 aircraft is ready for operation with SWISS," said Fred Cromer, President, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft.
“Thanks to the dedication and hard work of many people from around the world, over many years, today we’re proud to announce that this last phase of flight testing puts us on track to certify by the end of 2015.”

“The tremendous discipline and efforts of our employees, suppliers and customers will be on display over the next few weeks as the CS100 aircraft takes to operating on a commercial airline-type schedule from key airports in North America. This function and reliability testing will include airfield performance; landings and airport turnarounds; and on-ground operations – all to ready the CS100 aircraft for operation with SWISS in the first half of 2016,” said Rob Dewar, Vice President, C Series Aircraft Program, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft.

“The function and reliability test flights, which will be conducted using typical airline flight routings and operational procedures, will include about 15 representative airports in Canada and 20 in the United States,” added Mr. Dewar.
