Malaysia has secured an agreement with Ukrainian separatists, who control the area around the MH17 crash site, to allow a group of international police personnel to enter the area in order to provide protection for international crash investigators.

Pursuant to the earlier agreement between Prime Minister Najib Razak and Alexander Borodai, leader of the separatist forces, Mr Borodai today agreed to allow a deployment of international police personnel to enter the crash site.

Prime Minister Najib has today spoken to the prime ministers of the Netherlands and Australia, and the three grieving countries have agreed to work closely together in deploying police personnel.

68 Malaysian police personnel will leave Kuala Lumpur for the crash site on Wednesday as part of the international deployment.

Under the original three point agreement brokered between Prime Minister Najib and Mr Borodai last week, the Ukrainian separatists agreed to:
transfer the black boxes to Malaysia;
handover the human remains to international officials;
and grant full access to the crash site for international investigators.

So far, international air crash investigators have been unable to properly deploy across the vast crash site in eastern Ukraine and collect evidence due to ongoing security concerns, including continued military activity. Malaysia calls for an immediate cessation of all military activities in and around the crash site.

Malaysia is concerned that these security concerns are preventing full and unfettered access to the site, and therefore a proper, independent investigation from being carried out. Moreover, Malaysia is particularly concerned that some human remains may still be at the crash site.

Malaysian officials are discussing the details of the police deployment with the Netherlands and Australia. Malaysian Foreign Minister, Anifah Aman, has been speaking to his international counterparts and officials from the Ukrainian government on the legal and diplomatic framework for the deployment.

Malaysian Transport Minister, Liow Tiong Lai, has been leading on the MH17 investigation, working closely with the head of the investigation in the Netherlands.

SPEAKING EARLIER TODAY, PRIME MINISTER NAJIB RAZAK SAID:

“I am deeply concerned that international investigators have been unable to properly deploy to the crash site because of the volatile security situation. It is imperative that we deploy a full team of investigators to ensure that all the human remains are removed from the site, identified and repatriated. Everyone who was on board MH17 must be afforded proper dignity and respect.

“We also need a full deployment of investigators to have unfettered access to the crash site so we can understand precisely what happened to MH17. I hope that this agreement with Mr Borodai will ensure security on the ground, so the international investigators can conduct their work.

“Three grieving nations have formed a coalition to secure the site. Through our joint deployment of police personnel, the Netherlands, Australia and Malaysia will work together to achieve justice for the victims.”

Es una de esas teorías de conspiración sin fundamento real, no presenta pruebas, solo que "le dijeron los oficiales que hicieron...". Pueden ver en airliners.net fotos recientes del 9M-MRD que cayó en Ucrania y verán que también tenía tapada la última ventana de la sección frontal, como el 9M-MRO, si anteriormente la tenían con vidrio posiblemente hubo un cambio de configuración y decidieron cancelarla, pero TODOS sus 777 están así, por lo que las fotos tratando de "probar" que se trata del desaparecido MH370 no tienen ningún fundamento. Lo del video con los pasaportes "intactos" tampoco podemos saber en qué momento fueron grabados, no era una secuencia, solo eran tomas que juntaron para los noticieros.

Y qué hay de los 298 cadáveres de las personas que salieron de AMS? Todo es falso?

Ladies and gentlemen,
Like the Netherlands, Malaysia is in mourning. We mourn the loss of all 298 lives on board MH17.
And as we watched the first bodies arrive in Eindhoven, our hearts reached out to the people of the Netherlands, who have lost so much.
The flags flying at half-mast told their own story: of the nations who lost their sons and daughters. And of our determination to work together to bring them home.
Malaysia stands with the Netherlands, with Australia; with all countries whose people have been lost. We stand together, united in grief, and ready to help however we can.
Earlier, Prime Minister Rutte and I spoke about the continued military activity at the crash site; the inability of international investigators to deploy across it; and the human remains that may still lie there.
For the sake of the grieving families, it is imperative that all remains at the crash site are repatriated as soon as possible. Every single victim must be given dignity and a decent funeral.
Our other priority is to ensure the international investigators are given full and unfettered access to the site, so that they may collect evidence and carry out their vital work. Only then will we be able to find out what happened to MH17; only then can we achieve justice for the victims and their families.
The conflict in Eastern Ukraine may not be easily resolved. But the people on board that plane had no part in it.
We ask that there be an immediate cessation of hostilities in and around the crash site – by both Ukrainian and separatist forces.
We ask that all sides respect the lives lost, and the integrity of the site, so that the investigation may proceed. The long walk towards justice begins with this step.
A team of 68 Malaysian police has arrived Kiev today. They will work together with the Dutch and Australian teams to help secure access to the site.
Malaysia fully supports the international investigation, and we are grateful to the Netherlands for their lead role in the international team.
Repatriating the remains of victims as fast as possible is a shared priority. Malaysian experts are already helping here in the Netherlands with the painstaking task of identification – and we stand ready to provide more assistance if required.
On behalf of Malaysia, I would like to thank Prime Minister Rutte and the Dutch people for all they have done, and continue to do, for the victims of this senseless and tragic act.

“Efforts to locate and identify victims of the MH17 tragedy continue.

“Once bodies have been identified and the necessary forensic work completed, the next-of-kin will be informed. Arrangements for repatriating the bodies will then be discussed with the next-of-kin.

“At all times, we will be guided by the next-of-kin, and will endeavour to carry out repatriation in line with their wishes.

“Arrangements are being made for a national day of mourning once all remains have returned to Malaysia.”

Kuala Lumpur, Malasia (08 agosto 2014).- El Gobierno de Malasia llevará a cabo una "reestructuración completa" de su afligida aerolínea nacional, en un intento por reavivar a la compañía sumida en pérdidas después de verse afectada por dos devastadores desastres aéreos este año.

La decisión de suspender la cotización en la bolsa de Malaysia Airline System se estaba esperando desde que la venta de billetes se hundió tras la desconcertante desaparición del MH370 el 8 de marzo con 239 pasajeros y ocho tripulantes a bordo.

La crisis de la aerolínea se profundizó el 17 de julio cuando otro avión, el vuelo MH17, fue derribado en Ucrania, matando a las 298 personas que iban a bordo.

La oferta del fondo de inversión estatal Khazanah Nasional de mil 400 millones de ringgit (436 millones de dólares) por las acciones que aún no posee allana el camino para recortar las rutas menos rentables, reducir las abultadas nóminas e instalar un nuevo equipo de dirección.

También podría considerarse un cambio de nombre a gran escala de la compañía, que ha sufrido pérdidas durante los últimos tres años, mientras lucha con una tambaleante confianza del consumidor después de las dos tragedias.

Khazanah dijo que necesitará la cooperación "de todas las partes" para llevar a cabo la reestructuración, que abarcará las operaciones de la aerolínea, el modelo de negocio, las finanzas, la plantilla y el entorno regulador.

Malaysia Airlines' primary focus is to care for the family members affected by MH17. The airline is currently supporting the families during this difficult time and has assigned caregivers (who are trained Malaysia Airlines staff) for each family member to provide emotional support and assistance. In addition, the airline is also offering financial assistance of USD5,000 to the families of each passenger and crew member. To date, a majority of the families have already received such financial assistance, which will not be part of any compensation that may be payable.
To further address the needs of the immediate families of the passengers, Malaysia Airlines, through representatives from its Family Support Center, has contacted the next-of-kin of those onboard flight MH17 to initiate an advance compensation payment process.
We have also taken steps to arrange for contractual benefits to which our crew are entitled to be explained and paid to their next of kin, together with a further goodwill payment to help meet the current needs of their families.
Payment of advance compensation will not affect the families’ rights to claim compensation according to the law at a later stage, but will be calculated as part of the final compensation.
Matters relating to compensation remain private and confidential. As such Malaysia Airlines reiterates that it will not be discussing any related details publicly, out of respect for the families.

La ministra de Relaciones Exteriores australiana, Julie Bishop, mostró este viernes su estupor por las imágenes publicadas sobre el supuesto saqueo por parte de separatistas prorrusos del equipaje de los pasajeros fallecidos en el derribo hace justo un año de un Boeing 777 en el este de Ucrania.


El diario Sydney Daily Telegraph publico un video en el primer aniversario del derribo el 17 de julio de 2014 de este avión comercial, que partió de Ámsterdam rumbo a Kuala Lumpur, con 298 pasajeros y miembros de la tripulación a bordo, en su mayoría holandeses. También viajaban 38 australianos o residentes en el país.

Bishop dijo estar preocupada por la aparición un año después de este material, en unas declaraciones a Nine Network. "Sin duda, es coherente con las informaciones de los servicios de inteligencia que recibimos hace 12 meses. El vuelo MH17 de Malaysia Airlines fue derribado por un misil tierra-aire", indicó la jefa de la diplomacia australiana, quien no pudo verificar la autenticidad del vídeo.

En tanto, el gobierno británico abogó este viernes por la puesta en marcha de un tribunal internacional para llevar ante la justicia a los responsables del derribo hace justo un año del Boeing 777 de Malaysia Airlines en el este de Ucrania.


"Debe hacerse justicia para los 298 inocentes que perdieron la vida. Esto requiere un tribunal internacional, apoyado en una resolución vinculante para los Estados miembros de la ONU con el objetivo de perseguir a los responsables", declaró en un comunicado el ministro británico de Relaciones Exteriores, Philip Hammond, cuyo país es miembro permanente del Consejo de Seguridad.

"Cualquier intento de socavar este proceso privaría a las víctimas del derecho a la justicia y no debe ser tolerado", añadió. Diez británicos perdieron la vida en esta tragedia.

El Boeing 777 fue abatido el 17 de julio de 2014 en una zona cercana a la línea del frente entre las posiciones de las fuerzas ucranianas y de los separatistas prorrusos. El derribo de la aeronave provocó la muerte de 298 pasajeros y miembros de la tripulación, en su mayoría holandeses.

Poco después, el Consejo de Seguridad de Naciones Unidas adoptó la resolución 2166, que instaba a los responsables de esta tragedia a "rendir cuentas" y a la plena cooperación de todos los Estados.

Malasia, Holanda y otros países se mostraron entonces favorables a la creación de un tribunal bajo la égida de Naciones Unidas, pero Rusia, miembro permanente del Consejo de Seguridad con derecho a veto, rechazó esta opción al considerarla como "contraproducente".

China, otro miembro permanente, apoyaría por su parte esta jurisdicción si los 15 miembros del Consejo de Seguridad alcanzaban un acuerdo, había indicado la semana pasada una fuente diplomática al evocar las conversaciones en la ONU.


Kiev y los países occidentales acusan a los separatistas prorrusos de haber utilizado un misil tierra-aire Buk, proporcionado por Rusia, para derribar el avión comercial. Moscú siempre ha negado estas acusaciones y responsabiliza de la tragedia a los militares ucranianos.

Hace más de un año que se registró el accidente del vuelo MH17 de Malaysia Airlines en Ucrania, cuando supuestamente un misil de los rebeles prorrusos derribó el Boeing 777. En el avión viajaban 298 personas que murieron al instante.

Sin embargo, siguen apareciendo nuevos videos que captan los primeros momentos tras el terrible accidente. La semana pasada era una grabación realizada por los propios rebeldes prorrusos y ahora sale a la luz un video realizado por una pareja de civiles que pasó por el lugar en el momento preciso.

La grabación se llama literalmente “Están lloviendo cuerpos”, y en ella se escucha como la mujer que graba está completamente afectada por la escena que están presenciando. Los hechos le afectan tanto que le pide al conductor que acelere y salgan de ahí.

En los pocos instantes que se quedan en la zona viendo el humo y las llamas, se les oye decir que hay restos de personas entre los escombros y preguntarse cómo es que algo tan horrible pudo haber pasado. Incluso la mujer se niega a bajarse del auto para explorar, y es entonces cuando se van.

El vuelo MH17 fue derribado por un misil ruso, según investigadores

"El MH17 se vino abajo por una explosión de una ojiva fuera del avión", afirmó el director de la Junta de Seguridad Holandesa Tjibbe Joustra a un grupo de reporteros este martes.

"Ninguna de las partes involucradas reconocieron los riesgos que presentaba para la aviación civil el conflicto armado en tierra", añadió.
Joustra dijo que las autoridades de Ucrania fallaron al no cerrar el espacio aéreo.
"Como una precaución, había suficientes razones para que las autoridades ucranianas cerraran el espacio sobre la parte este del país", donde había un conflicto armado cuando el vuelo 17 de Malasia Airlines recibió un disparo el 17 de julio de 2014, agregó Joustra.
El primer ministro holandés Mark Rutte dijo que buscarán justicia. "Haremos todo lo que podamos para que las personas que hicieron esto no puedan evadir... un castigo".
